QS-BT1 Dual-Channel Seat Belt Tensioner
Powered by the same technology as the flagship QS-220, the QS-BT1 is a multi-purpose, dual-channel direct drive seat belt tensioner designed to dramatically increase immersion in sim racing, flight simulation, and motion-enabled cockpits. It can operate as a standalone device or integrate seamlessly with existing motion platforms.
With up to 200N (20.5kg / 45lb) of force per channel, QS-BT1 adds a missing physical dimension by simulating braking forces, lateral acceleration, high-speed cornering, wheel lockups, traction loss, engine vibrations, rumble strips, and gear shifts. It complements direct drive wheels and motion systems by tying your body to the seat in a way no other device in its class can.
Key Capabilities
Dual-channel belt tensioning enables precise, asymmetric feedback for steering and cornering realism. Braking forces are translated directly through the belts, allowing you to feel deceleration and weight transfer naturally. Engine vibrations and road surface effects add further depth in supported titles.
Beyond Sim Racing
QS-BT1 is equally at home in flight simulation. With sustained pulling forces capable of simulating 1G through 9G, it reproduces positive and negative G-forces, centrifugal loads, engine vibrations, and even effects such as cannon fire or missile launches in supported software.
System Compatibility
QS-BT1 integrates with all Motion Systems QS, PS, and HS platforms, and is compatible with most cockpits on the market. It also works alongside the open-source WindSim project to enhance forward acceleration and high-speed cruising sensations.
Quiet & Endurance Ready
Using QS-220–derived technology, QS-BT1 operates extremely quietly, making it suitable for late-night use and long endurance races, even with driver swaps.
Important Setup Notes
For optimal realism, seat belt slots should align with shoulder height. Professional racing harnesses are strongly recommended over sim racing harnesses due to higher durability, safety, and secure locking under dynamic loads.
